Posing as a civil engineer conman cheated a staff nurse of the airport and made away with her gold valuables worth Rs 6 lakh after proposing to marry her .
After a futile attempt to search him,the victim has filed a complaint with the Bagalur police on Friday.
In her complaint Indrani,38 said that she was married and now separated, living with her parents in Yelahanka.
She had posted her profile on a matrimonial site in November last year seeking alliance .
In the month of December the accused, introducing himself as Ram,a civil engineer from Mangaluru,approached her and the duo even met a couple of times .
Ram proposed to marry her in May this year before seeking urgent financial help .
Moved by his condition,she offered to help him and gave gold valuables she was wearing weighing around 100 grams to pawn them and get the money.
Ram promised to return the valuables soon and left only to vanish.His mobile phones was not reachable and Indrani after making futile attempts to reach him many times realized that she had been cheated
She narrated the incident with her parents before approaching the police.
Based on the complaint the police have charged the accused under cheating and criminal breach of trust and efforts are on to track him down.
