Sandalwood tree chopped off,smuggled out of CQAE Campus in Bengaluru

As many as six sandalwood trees were chopped into pieces and taken away from the high security area of CQAE (Controllerate of Quality Assurance-Electronic) ministry of defence situated at Jalahalli camp road in Yeshwanthpur on last Saturday morning .

Rajesh Jhajaria,security officer of the CQAE campus filed a complaint on Wednesday after obtaining the due permission from the authorities concerned.

The area is a high security zone with multi layered security checks,despite this it is shocking that six trees have been chopped into pieces and taken away from the area in broad daylight is a matter of security lapse and also a matter of serious concern,a senior police officer said .

Based on the complaint, the RMC yard police have registered a case under forest act and theft and are investigating further and the smugglers will be nabbed special teams are working on it he added.
