DCBA concludes its second Vaccination Camp at ICD Patparganj, 500 people vaccinated free of cost

Sponsored by ICD Rewari of SCM Express, Delhi Customs Brokers Association (DCBA) concluded its second and one more very successful COVID-19 Vaccination Camp at ICD Patparganj (PPG), New Delhi which was organised on August 10 and 11, 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm for the Customs Brokers, their staff, family members and other stakeholders of the logistics industry. This vaccination camp was “free for all” and covered 18+age group. The vaccination camp was supported by the office of the Commissioner of Customs, ICD PPG and CWC ICD PPG.
According to Mr Santosh Kumar Choudhary, Hony. Secretary, DCBA, some 500 people from the CB fraternity and other stakeholders of the logistics industry availed the opportunity of this vaccination camp thanks to the sponsorship by ICD Rewari of SCM Express and meticulously done arrangements through joint efforts/hard works of Customs, Custodian CWC and the Office Bearers and Managing Committee members of DCBA. “I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to all for their support behind this successful vaccination camp organised in line with DCBA’s objective of making our fraternity safe and as well as Corona free, which is the vision of our prime minister for the entire nation,” he said. Mr Choudhary also informed that DCBA would organise many more such vaccination camps at various customs locations in Delhi NCR region in the days to come to achieve its above-mentioned goal.

DCBA had organized its first and very successful Covid -19 vaccination camp at New Customs House, IGI Airport from June 15th to 18th, 2021.
Customs Brokers are one of the vital components of the logistics & supply chain system and are recognized as frontline warriors in respect of the fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic through their immensely valuable services. The Customs Brokers are working 24×7 to clear all urgent Covid related cargo/material including oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, ventilators, PPE kits, vaccines, etc from airports, dry ports (IDCs) and seaports.

Commenting on the vaccination camp Mr. Anusandeep Burmi, MD of SCM Xpress said that their company were very happy to be part and extend support to this noble cause. Further he promised to be part of any such programmes in future which is beneficial to the logistics Industry.
Mr Choudhary extended special thanks to Mr. Vijay Raghavan, Mr. Vikrant Gogia, and Mr. Davender Lal Pipil who spearheaded the coordination with Medanta Hospital, Local Administration and Customs Authority to organize this very important vaccination camp, complying with all government rules & regulations and protocols pertaining to COVID-19 vaccination.
