Govindapura Police arrest Nigerian drug peddler, seized 400 Ecstasy pills Worth Rs.15.5 Lakh

The East Division police of Govindapura police on Monday arrested a 47-year-old Nigerian national and recovered over 400 ecstasy pills worth Rs. 15.5 lakh from him.

The accused has been identified as,Thomas K a Nigerian National .

Senior officer told media persons,The Govindapura police inspector received a credible information that a foreign national is standing near HRBR layout 5th cross for his clients and his movements are found to be suspicious.

Acting on the information Govindapura police inspector Prakash R and his crime team swung into action and rushed to the spot the team kept a close watch on the suspected foreign national and when our team got confirmation that he is in possession drugs substances the team raided the place and caught him red handed.

After arresting him the team grilled him who confessed the crime and based on his information the police raided his house and recovered the drugs.

The police identified the accused as,Thomas K , verifying his travel documents and questioning the landlord to ascertain since when he was staying in the house and his work background.

It is revealed that the customers of the accused are mostly students and IT professionals.We are trying to find out the source of his drugs and how long he is operational.A Case under NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated Addl CP East,S Murugan, DCP East,Dr SD Sharanappa,ACP,KG Halli sub-division,Jagadish KS,PI,Prakash R,PSI,as, Lokesh N,ASI,Manjunath and crime staff as, Sathish,Mahesh Kumar,Pratap and sandeep has been appreciated for nabbing the Nigerian drug peddler with huge quantity of Synthetic Drugs from his possession and for the commendable job done by them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
