The Southeast Division police of Bommanahalli police in a swift action has been three persons within 48 hours of the crime reported and the three youths are said to be unemployed.
The accused has been identified as,Sagar (19),a resident of Garvebavipalya near Madiwala, Sridhar (20) of Begur and Naveen (22) of Bandepalya.
Kamal Pant,Commissioner of police along with Addl CP East S Murugan DCP Southeast Srinath Mahadev Joshi briefed media after arresting three persons involved in setting MLA Satish Reddy’s cars on fire.
As the incident was reported and it is said to be a very sensational case for the cops after the Incident took place,Home Minister, Araga Jnanendra,Commissioner of police,Kamal Pant with other senior officers visited the spot and after Inspecting the spot five special teams were formed.
Five special teams were formed to nab the miscreants a special team headed by ACP, Karibasavanagowda,PI,Bommanahalli and his crime team swung into action the team took the case very seriously as it was a very sensitive and sensational case to probe.
The team analysed more than 100 CCTV cameras and one of the cameras shown that the accused have changed dress while purchasing petrol and after purchasing petrol they changed the dress nearly 3 to 4 times to confuse the police team.
But in one of the CCTV footage the team found the vehicle number of the vehicle they enlarged the number plate and identified the vehicle and number plate.
The team were on massive manhunt for the vehicle and our special crime team were on search for the vehicle and its rider after sometime the crime team found the vehicle moving in the area the team nabbed the rider.
After detaining him the team grilled him and the accused confessed the crime and revealed other two persons name who are involved in the crime and based on his statement the team nabbed other two persons.
As per preliminary information,the arrested accused are unemployed youths who were seeking help from Satish Reddy.They set the cars on fire out of a grudge against him as he was not meeting them.
They had arrived at around 1:25 am and left by 1:28 am after burning the cars.
One of the accused was familiar with the MLA’s residence and had tried to meet him earlier but was reportedly not let into the house.
He further added that during the initial inquiry, it was found that one of the accused had tried to meet the MLA on two occasions but he was not given an opportunity and this was also a reason for them to target the MLA.
The background of the accused is being verified,” Kamal Pant added.
The accused, as of Saturday,did not have any previous criminal records,as per the police.The police will seek 14-day custody of the accused for questioning he added.

While citizens in Bengaluru hope and pray that their garbage is picked up on a daily basis and streets are kept clean, the case seems to be different for the VVIPs in the city. An incident has come to light in which a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) BJP leader’s residence is reportedly seen getting cleaned by staffers from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Paurakarmikas.
The time and the date of the incident are yet unknown, However, a video shows the Paurakarmikas cleaning the premises of the residence of Karnataka MLA Satish Reddy.
A day after arrest, police intensified investigation and grilling the trio to ascertain other possible reasons and involvement of others.
The accused told the police that they frustrated that they tried to meet Satish Reddy to seek help but could not meet him.
Frustrated over this,the accused set fire to the two SUVs and escaped after stealing a bike parked infront of a house near by.
The reason given by them is not convincing and hence we are probing further to confirm possible involvement of others,a Senior police officer,said.
We are verifying their mobile phones to probe the involvement of others.
Meanwhile reacting to the arrest,Satish reddy said that the reason given by the accused is unbelievable.The accused are alcoholic and one of them drug addict.
It was a premeditated act and the accused executed,while people who are behind this planned and executed through the accused, should be traced, mr.Reddy, said.
Two of the accused are worked in cable TV there is possibility of cable mafia runned by Somashekar alias Somu a Rowdy sheeter, sources said.
