In view of upcoming Renewable Energy Park in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat and to facilitate movement of resources, BSF will hand over access control and security of India Bridge, on Khavda-Vighakot Highway, to Gujarat Police from 1st April 2021.
Presently BSF provides security and have access control of India Bridge for any movement towards forward area of Indo-Pak border. The manpower relieved from India Bridge will be deployed to enhance the security of the forward area keeping in view of sensitivity of the area and security of the project..
Renewable Energy Park is coming up in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat and various developers will be engaged in establishing solar and wind power units ahead of the India Bridge. Thousands of labours, vehicles, heavy machinery and equipment are expected to be engaged in this developmental activity, therefore protection of forward area is of utmost importance.
Foundation stone for Renewable Energy Park project was laid by Hon’ble PM, Sh Narendra Modi on 15th Dec 2020.
