Food app’s two delivery boys killed in road accident,Car owner arrested within 24 hours by Yeshwanthpura Traffic police:

In a swift action the Yeshwanthpura traffic police traced the car and its owner within 24 hours which killed two delivery boys of a private firm in the wee hours of Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as,Bharath,a resident of Madanayakanahalli.

The deceased has been identified as,Gowtham M,21 and Srikanth,27 resident of Manjunath Nagar.

Senior officer said,The duo after delivering the food items to their clients were returning back to there home while returning home a unknown car came driving in rashly in speedy mowed down the two wheeler rider and pillion rider near Jalahalli village.

Soon after the accident,the Yeshwanthpura traffic police inspector Preetham D Shreyankar, and his staff rushed to the spot,and after getting information by passer by the team collected a few pieces of registration number plate and few pieces of the front portion of the car shattered due to the impact of the accident.

Yeshwanthpura Traffic Sub- Inspector,Hanumantharaju and his team swung into action and the team went around the showrooms to get the make of car as they collected the pieces of front portion of the car.

Though there was CCTV footage recorded of the accident,it was not clear due to dark but the team has went around the showrooms.After inquiries with several show rooms,it was concluded that the car was Chevrolet Captiva car.

The team even visited JC road area where the number plate and sticker shops are there with the help of the number plate pieces the team guessed a ten digit number and obtained details of around 15 cars registered in and around the city RTOs.

After analyzing each and every car,the police on Wednesday finally zeroed in on the killer car belonging to Bharath,25,owner of a travel agency at Madanayakanahalli.

The police recovered the car from a garage where Bharath had left for repair soon after the accident.

Initially he tried to mislead the police stating that his friend had taken the car,the Inspector and his team during questioning got suspicion on his statement and after conducting a detailed questioning he finally confessed that it was he who was driving the car.

The accused Bharath said that he had gone to a hotel to get dinner and was returning home at the same time he mowed down two delivery boys and after the accident he left the car to garage.

Based on his statement to verify the police team verified the CCTV footage in and around the hotel to corroborate his claim and concluded that it was Bharath who was driving the car.

The accused has been arrested for death due to negligence and also charged for trying to destroy evidence,adding that the accused has been subjected for medical test to ascertain whether he was under the influence of substances while driving a case has been registered and further investigation is on.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated,Joint CP Traffic,Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda,DCP Traffic West,Dr SK Soumyalatha,ACP,Traffic North,Gopal Krishna Gowda,PI,Yeshwanthpura Traffic,Preetham D Shreyankar,PSI,Hanumantharaju,and staff as, Shashidhar and others who has done a exemplary work in tracing the killer car and its owner within 24 hours and for the commendable job done by them a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
