The West Division police of Byadarahalli police have arrested a 26 year old jewel designer who had robbed three kgs of silver articles from the shop he was working in Bydarahalli police station limits.
The accused Chethan,a resident of Sugganahalli in Ramanagar was working in the gold shop owned by Dinesh as Jewel designer.
Senior officers,told media persons that a complaint was filed by Dinesh a owner of Jewel designer shop stating that on February 4th he and his family went out of station to visit his ailing father.
After returning from out of station he came and noticed that silver articles Worth Rs.3 lakhs where missing from his shop.
The complainant has stated that he has doubt on his employee by name Chethan working in his shop and after the incident of crime he is absconding and his phone was switch off.
Based on complaint Byadarahalli police station Inspector Rajeev and his crime team swung into action and visited the crime scene and after collecting all the information about the theft.
With the help of technical support the team tracked the accused and recovered stolen silver articles Worth Rs.3 Lakhs from his possession.
During investigation the accused confessed the crime and revealed that he joined the work two and half months ago and was regular to work to gain the confidence and also to keep a watch.
On February 4th,when Dinesh and family went out of station to visit his ailing father.
Chancing upon the opportunity,Chethan stole silver articles worth Rs three lakhs from his shop to make ease money and become rich in short time he committed the crime but is now cooling his heels in jail.A case has been registered in Byadarahalli police station and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP,UD Krishna Kumar,PI,A Rajeev and his crime team for the commendable job done by them who has successfully nabbed the accused and recovered the property a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
