The southeast Division police of Begur police Arrested a 29 year old habitual offender after a dramatic chase from Begur to electronic city in a filmy style after opening fire at him in eletronic city on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Madan a notorious Rowdy sheeter.
Senior officer,told reporters,a complaint was registered in Begur police station by a bar owner in which the miscreant has assaulted and robbed cashier of bar and restaurant after threatening him with chopper and was on run.
Based on complaint a special team was formed by PI,Begur Manjunath,a team headed by PSI,Eshwar and his crime staff were on lookout for the rowdy sheeter.
On Sunday,PSI,Eshwar received a credible information from his reliable inputs that Madan was hiding in an isolated place near Begur as soon as the information was passed PSI Eshwar, constable Ravikumar and other crime staff rushed to the spot.
The team went to detain Madan from the isolated place in the meanwhile to evade arrest the accused attacked our constable Ravikumar with sharp weapon and escaped in a bike.
However,PSI,Eshwar chased Madan from Begur to Electronic city for about four kilometres before he was surrounded.
The PSI warned him and opened one round fire in air and asked him to surrender but as he tried to escape again without heeding to the warning given by PSI,the PSI Eshwar opened another round fire on his leg while he was trying to escape the bullet hited his leg and he collapsed later the team shifted the injured Madan to private hospital and the police awaiting his recovery to arrest him.
Madan has around nine criminal cases in various police station a case under attempt to Murder has been registered against the accused in Electronic city police station and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP,East,S Murugan DCP Southeast,Srinath Mahadev Joshi,ACP,MN Kari Basavangowda,PI,Manjunath,PSI,Eshwar and Constable Ravikumar for successfully nabbing the notorious habitual offender who was wanted in many cases a special reward will be given to PSI Eshwar and Constable Ravikumar who has done a brave work in arresting the accused he added.
