The ACB officials on Tuesday trapped a surveyor red handed while accepting bribe of RS.25,000 for an official favour.
The accused has been identified as,Ratnakumar a Surveyor attached to Anekal Taluk office.
According to ACB officials,a villager from a Sonnanayakanapura had applied with the taluk office to get his land surveyed.
Ratnakumar demanded RS.25,000 to visit the area and do survey.Unable to pay the bribe the villager approached ACB and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint the ACB officials laid the trap and caught Ratnakumar Red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.25,000 from a villager.
The accused Ratnakumar,working in Anekal Taluk office has been booked under Prevention and Corruption Act and taken him into custody for further investigation he said.
