Actress Jayashree Ramaiah, former Kannada Bigg Boss contestant,ends life over depression in Bengaluru:

Kannada Bigg Boss fame actress Jayashree Ramaiah died by suicide on Monday.As per her close associates she was going through depression and was getting treatment at a rehab centre in the outskirts of the city on Sunday.

Jayashree aged about 27, who was suffering from depression admitted to rehab centre for treatment since December 20.

The incident came to light when her family called her to check on her health but there was no response.

Immediately the family members alerted the staff who rushed to her room and found her hanging to the ceiling fan.

Jayashree had tea in the evening and refused to have dinner stating that she was on diet.

Jayashree Ramaiah was a contestant in Bigg Boss Kannada season 3.Unlike many participants,Jayashree did not get a lot of work opportunities after participating in the reality show.Reportedly she was unhappy about the lack of opportunities and had complained about it to her friends.

Jayashree Ramaiah was a model-turned-actress who made her acting debut with Imran Sardhariya’s Uppu Huli Khara.However, it was Kiccha Sudeep’s Bigg Boss Kannada season 3 which brought her under the limelight.

Though she had stayed in the Bigg Boss house for two weeks,the show had failed to give a big break to her and she continued to struggle to get offers in Sandalwood.

Jayashree talked about her battle with depression in Facebook posts last year:

On July 22, she put up a status saying, “I quit. Goodbye to this f*****g world and depression,” reports The Times of India. However, she later deleted the post and assured fans that all is well. “I’m Alright and safe!! Love you all,” her follow-up post read.

A few days later, on July 25, Jayashree talked about being ‘betrayed since childhood’ in a Facebook live.She reiterated that she was struggling with depression.

I am not doing all of this for publicity sake.I am not expecting financial help from Sudeep sir as well. I am only expecting my death as I am unable to battle depression.I am financially strong but depressed.I have been going through a lot of personal issues.I have been betrayed since childhood and unable to overcome it,”she reportedly said.

Jayashree made her big-screen debut in 2017 with Imran Sardhariya’s Uppu Huli Khara.She also starred in Black,directed by Mahendra.

The Madanayakanahalli police have taken up a case of un-natural death and are investigating to ascertain the reason behind her extreme step and the body has been sent for postmortem and further investigation is on.
