The Byadarahalli police opened fire and arrested a habitual offender who attacked head constable with a dagger in a bid to escape and evade arrest in the outskirts of the city on Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Rajesh alias loose,20 year old.
Senior officer,told media persons,that a dacoity complaint was registered in Byadarahalli police station in which criminals robbed a private firm employees armed with lethal weapons.
Based on complaint filed by the private firm a special team was led by ACP,Kengeri Sub-Division,UD Krishna Kumar under the leadership of PI,Rajeev and his crime team swung into action.
The team visited the crime spot to collect information about the incident during collecting information the team got to know 6 people barged with Lethal weapons.
The crime team Inspected the spot and collaborated all the CCTV cameras in which they got vital clues and identified one of the accused as Rajesh who was involved in dacoity case of Kengeri reported last year.
On Thursday,our Byadarahalli police Inspector Rajiv along with his team based on tip off went to a deserted house where Rajesh was hiding and surrounded the place.
our head constable went to secure him the accused Rajesh in a bid to escape,attacked head constable Srinivas with a dagger and tried to flee.
Inspector warned and fired one round in air as he tired attacking inspector and staff again in the self defense to protect himself and his staff PI,Rajeev opened fire at his right leg and injured him.Both the injured have been rushed to a hospital for treatment.
It is revealed that Rajesh along with his associates barged into a private firm,threatened the employees with lethal weapons,ransacked the premises and robbed mobile phones and cash from them in January 17.
Rajesh was also involved in a dacoity case reported in Kengeri in June last year after his recovery a detailed investigation will be done by the team and a case has been registered and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant,has appreciated,Addl CP West,Soumendhu Mukherjee,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP,UD Krishna Kumar,PI,Rajeev Gowda,and crime staff Srinivas and other staff for the commendable job done by them who has successfully nabbed the notorious offenders a special appreciation to PI,Rajeev and Srinivas who has played on their life and nabbed the habitual offender who was on run a suitable reward will be given to the team he added.
