Four vehicle lifters arrested by Bagalagunte police stolen vehicles worth Rs.12 Lakhs recovered:

The North Division police of Bagalagunte police have arrested a gang of four and recovered stolen vehicles including two tractors and six bikes worth Rs 12 lakh from them on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Govindaraju, 35,Kemparaju,22,Balaji,20 and Lokesh,21 from Tumakuru.

DCP North,Dharmendra Kumar Meena,told reporters,the accused were arrested when they were moving suspiciously near prime town apartment on bikes.

The patrolling police when confronted them the accused neither had any satisfactory reply about their presence at that time nor had any documents for the vehicles they were using.

On suspicion the police brought the accused to the station for investigation.During investigation the accused confessed the crime and based on their statement their associates were also arrested.

Based on their confession the police recovered the vehicles which they had stolen since 2019.A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that the accused are habitual offenders involved in vehicle and house break theft cases.

The accused Kemparaju and Balaji were arrested by Tumakuru police for stealing sheep in 2019. The duo was arrested and released few months and joined the gang and commited crimes with them.
