Former Karnataka minister Rudrappa Lamani’s son and two others arrested from Goa in drug case.

The CCB officials on Monday arrested Darshan Lamani, son of former Karnataka minister and Congress leader Rudrappa Lamani,on charges of harboring two people wanted in connection with purchasing drugs through ‘darknet’.

The CCB police on November 4 said they had busted a racket of synthetic drugs procured through the ‘darknet’ and delivered through postal service”.

Central crime branch police investigating the use of darknet for drug trafficking tracked the two accused in Goa along with Darshan Lamani, who was detained for providing shelter and harbouring the two accused, identified as Hemant and Suneesh.

The accused Hemanth and Suneesh were on the run after the CCB busted the online drug racket in November 4th and arrested Sujay red handed while he was receiving the consignment of 500 grams of hydro ganja from foreign country.The accused had paid the money through bit coins.

Further investigation led the ccb to identify Hemanth and Suneesh but they managed to escape.

The CCB track them down to goa and arrested along with Darshan Lamani and others.

Darshan has provided shelter to the accused following which he has also been arrested along with the accused.Sandeep patil, Joint commissioner of police Crime, said.

The trio have been taken into police custody to ascertain darshan role in the racket and also how the drug procured through dark net.

Meanwhile, Aditya Alva, son of former minister D Jeevaraj Alva and brother-in-law of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi continues to be at large. He is one of the accused in the drug case involving celebrities and Sandalwood actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani.

Along with Aditya Alva,Shivaprakash, Abhiswamy,Prashant R and Vinay Kumar are also at large.

It may be recalled that on September 14, CCB police raided Alva’s farmhouse near Hebbal and seized some CCTV footage. On October 15, the CCB raided the flat of Vivek Oberoi in Mumbai and questioned the family members. Though a notice was issued, Priyanka Alva, sister of Aditya, who refused to hand over her cell phone, continues to thumb her nose at the CCB.
