Bengaluru CCB sleuths have managed to nab two accused for illegal possession of blank firearms and the team has recovered 11 pistols,and several other firearms and assortment of live ammunition too has been recovered from their house in Gurruppanpalya.
The accused have been identified as,Mohammed Junaid (38) of HRBR Layout and Mohammed Tabrez (45) Gurappanapalya.
CCB sleuths have also seized 11 pistols,and several other firearms and assortment of live ammunition too has been recovered by the cops.The arrest took place under the supervision of CCB,DCP,Crime-2,KP Ravikumar and a case has been registered in Suddaguntepalya police.
Sandeep Patil,joint CP,Crime,told media persons that,our DCP,Crime-2,KP Ravikumar,received a credible information that two men in Suddaguntepalya police station are suspect to be in possession of illegal firearms in their house and are involved in selling the same.
Acting on the tip off information,CCB,OCW,wings ACP,Nagaraj SM and his team swung into action and conducted a raid on the house and during the raid the team has recovered,11 empty pistols,10 other arms similar to 303 rifles, seven sten gun-type arms and 76 bullets were found in their possession and took the duo into custody.
During the course of investigation the duo confessed the crime and a detailed investigation by the team who grilled them and they spilled the beans and said that they have sourced or procured the arms from Mumbai,for around Rs 20,000-25,000 and used to sell them for Rs 1 lakh.
He even said we suspect they have link with gangsters and rowdy sheeters to whom they supply this blank firearms and the weapons which are used to in starting the racing and other sporting events and would also sell and rent for shooting movies and tele serials could have been misused to threaten people and commit crimes.
These are blank firearms and 76 number of blank bullets.Basically under the arms act any person who is been in the possession of the blank firearms they need to have licence from the concerned authorities.But these two accused without having any kind of licence they have procured and are in position of the huge number of weapons.
And a case has been registered in in Suddaguntepalya police station against the two under the provision of arms act and We have collected CCTV footage to track the movements of their associates and buyers,finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Bhaskar Rao,has appreciated,Joint CP,Crime,Sandeep Patil,DCP,Crime-2,KP Ravikumar,ACP,SM Nagaraju,PI,as,G Keshavmurthy, Murugendraiah M,and PSI,Praveen,with other staff who has successfully nabbed the duo and busted blank firearms racket he added.
