The 6th edition of “Global Festival of Journalism Noida”, famous for promoting journalism in the world has begun today at Marwah Studio Complex, in Film City, Noida. This is the most prestigious and the only festival of its kind to promote journalism in the entire world.
It is a “3-day journalistic extravaganza”, from 12th to 14th February 2018. The inaugural day of this grand festival witnessed journalists from all over India and from all parts of the World. The purpose of this festival is to flourish mankind, integrity and affection in the country through the spirit of journalism.
The first day of the 6th GFJN was inaugurated by honorable President of Asian Education Group (AEG) Dr. Sandeep Marwah, along with other distinguished dignitaries like, H.E. Dr. Sabit Subasic Ambassador Bosnia, Shri Ved Pratap Vaidik Veteran Journalist, H.E. Dr. Xiao Xian Zhu, Senior Journalist from United Kingdom and Himanshu jhun jhunwala- renowned media consultant. The Theme was to flourish Love, Peace and Unity through Journalism.
A “Seminar” was conducted on “Credibility in News Media”. The chief speakers were Mr. Anand Pandey – Dainik Bhaskar, Mr. Hitesh Shankar – Panchjanya, Ms. Smita Sharma Deputy Editor- Tribune, Mr. Tehseen Munawwar, Senior Editor-Network 18, Mr. Sunil Dang from Prasar Bharti- former director, Mr. Ravi Parashar and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Singh. Yet in another seminar on “Media Mein Bhaasha Ka Girta Starr” Mr. Tasleem Khan Executive Editor-National Herald, Mr. Ashish Kumar Singh, Head Delhi Aajtak and Mr. Yogesh Narain Dixit – Deputy Editor from Amar Ujala participated.
Yet in another knowledgeable event “Panel Discussion” with the theme “Journalism in the New Era” Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Veteran Journalist & Academician, Mr. Harish Burnwal CEO Digital Blue craft Foundation, Mr. Navin Kumar Executive Producer Aajtak participated. The students of Journalism and Mass Communication found the discussion very entertaining and Informative.
Today, spectators witnessed many informative and entertaining events out of which few are being mentioned here like “Painting Exhibition” which was also inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Marwah and other elite guests. All the paintings were made by Deepak Ghosh, a renowned painter of international fame. Innumerable amateur painters were highly enthusiastic to learn from the painter’s imagination through paintings. Huge crowd gathered to visualize the same.
There held an “Animation Exhibition” School of Animation has organized this event. Many students have participated and their prime focus was on 3d animation, computer graphics. Students participated with full motivation. Many renowned Animation Experts praised their work and marked their presence felt by their valuable advices and suggestions to the participants.
Along with different types of exhibitions, the event also witnessed many workshops also. One of the workshops that were praised was Workshop on “Defining Standards of Journalism by “Miss. Nicola- Former BBC Trainer and Tejwant Schhatwal- Global Head UK Education Group” and another Workshop on “Crime reporting”by“ Mr. Ravi Kumar, Sr. Crime Journalist A huge crowd gathered in this career oriented workshop and praised whole heartedly. The third and the last workshop was organized on “Political Reporting”. The key speaker was Rahul Dabas – Anchor & Producer from Samachar Plus.
The event of “AAFT Digital films & Documentary Screening” caught the attention of many audiences. In this, the Documentaries made by AAFT students were screened.
News Bulletin by the name “Pahel” got released by Dr. Sandeep Marwah and other dignitaries.
The first day witnessed many successfully organized versatile events like Seminars, Exhibitions, Workshops and Screening of Documentaries. Really, the show had captivated the hearts of infinite footfalls besides Chief guests and other dignitaries. The show came to an end by bestowing Lifetime Achievement Awards, Excellence Awards, Cultural Programs and Fashion Show.
