Notorious Conman Arrested by City Market Police Recovered 21 gold chains worth Rs.9.48 lakhs.

The City Market police have arrested a 52-year-old man on charge of duping a city-based architect.As the accused, posing as a social activist running an NGO, approached Praveen Kumar, an architect in Chickpet, and purchased three gold chains from him worth Rs.1.08 lakhs
The arrested conman has been identified as jagadish shah and he used to act as good smartian to the Jewellers and cheat them by taking gold chains by giving them a false cheque or a cheque which get bounced.
Based on a complaint a special team was formed and based on technical inputs the team led by DCP west Zone, M N Anucheth under the supervision of ACP Chickpet Sub Division, N Niranjanraj urs with city market police station Inspector B Maruti and his team swung into action and nabbed the notorious conman .
Investigation officer said his modus operandi was he used to go to jewellery shops and befriend them and used to buy chains in the pretext of telling that he is running a trust by name Samvedhana trust and they are felicitating seer in Thailand for this we need about 260 chains the jewellery shop owner has refused to give 260 gold chains for this he says them to give some samples so the jewellery shop  owner gives him first 6 chains and after two to three days he visits the same shop again to buy more 3 Chains as samples  and for this he gave a cheque of Rs.1.80 lakh and the shop owner deposits the same cheque into his account to encash it but it got bounced and he even tried to call him but the number was getting switched off so as he filed the complaint our team swung into action and based on technical inputs we tracked down the notorious conman Jagadish Shah from his house in Yelahanka and based on his statement we have recovered 21 gold chains weighing of 316 grams worth Rs. 9.48 lakh from his possession.
He gave a false cheque and went absconding.
Praveen complainant told media persons that he showed me some cutaways from Newspapers and told me that he is going to felicitate a seer. He demanded 260 gold  chains. I told him that I can’t give the chains right away. So he asked for some samples and I gave him. Later he came back and asked for three more gold chains. He gave me a cheque but it bounced later his mobile switched off he added.

DCP West Zone, M N Anucheth told media persons that based on a complaint In city market police station we have arrested one accused person named jagadish shah who used to cheat Jewellers by giving them a false cheque or a cheque would bounce. He used to buy chains in the name of one Samvedhana trust. A charity which takes care of poor and orphanage people. So this person used to buy chains by giving cheque and the same cheque would get bounced so we have regisitered two cases against in city market and Upparpet police and after arresting him we have recovered 21 chains from his possession weighing around 316 grams of gold worth of Rs.9.48  lakhs and we suspect that Shah could have cheated many more in the city a case has been regisitered in City Market police station and further investigations are on and finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner, Praveen Sood, has appreciated Addl CP West, Malini Krishnamurthy, DCP West Zone ,M N Anucheth, ACP Chickpet Sub Division, N Niranjanraj urs, and his team as PI of city market police station B Maruti, PSI,Pravin C Yalligar,ASI,Huchanna with his crime staff as, Hanumantharaju,V R Ramesh,K S Rajanna,V S Ramesh, Kumar S Sannagudappanavar has been appreciated for the commendable job done by nabbing the notorious conman who was duping jewellery shop owners by befriending them and posing as social activist and with this arrest the team have recovered totally 21 gold chains from his possession he added.
