Taliban (Taliban) has started to decline. They are openly criticizing each other for supremacy. The Pakistan-backed Haqqani faction has single-handedly targeted the Supreme Leader.
Internet Desk: Differences have arisen between the Taliban (Taliban), who are ruling Afghanistan. In particular, the differences between the senior leader of the Haqqani group, Sirajuddin Haqqani, and the supreme leader Haidatullah Akhundzada have been exposed recently. Sirajuddin himself openly criticized Akhundzada for enjoying powers as a monopoly. In a meeting of religious leaders held in Khost region on Saturday, Sirajuddin said without mentioning Akhundzada’s name, “The system of centralization of power is being discredited. We have passed the condition of tolerating this. No more tolerance. The system of governance should avoid adopting policies that create divisions among the people. Otherwise, it will give others an opportunity to blame Islam,” he said.
Recently, Taliban spokesperson Zubaihullah Mujahid refuted Haqqani’s comments. “According to our Islamic practices, we should not publicly criticize the Emir (Akhundzada) or the minister or government officials. You should contact him directly and express your criticism personally. Then no one will hear them” he said. And Afghanistan’s Justice Minister Abdul Ghani Faiq said, “If he is a minister in the Islamic Emirate, will he act against the same Emirate?” This is intolerable,” he warned in front of the media.
Differences on women’s rights
Sirajuddin Haqqani’s comments seem to point to Supreme Leader Haidatullah Akhundzada. Recently Akhundzada is ruling from Kandahar platform. Afghanistan prohibits women from working in many places. Apart from this, they were also kept away from education. Akhundzada supported these decisions. Moreover, there is a ban on women traveling alone beyond 70 km.
But these decisions were also opposed by the countries that are close to the Taliban. The Haqqani group wants to lift the ban on girls’ education. “Now that we are in power, we should make people recover from old wounds,” Haqqani recently commented. On the other hand Mullah Yaqub, the son of Taliban founder Mullah Omar, is also positive about women’s rights. Some foreign diplomats say that he thinks that Afghanistan will not become isolated internationally as long as they have rights.
Experts say that extremist leaders who do not listen to the majority have become a headache for the Taliban regime. In the Taliban (Taliban) the fundamentalists got the most powers. They are minority in number. On the other hand, the majority of moderates got less powers. Kabul University political science professor Hamza Momin Hakim said that the feeling that the decisions of the extremists are being forced on the government prevailed among the rest. The comments of people like Sirajuddin Haqqani reflect this. Mohibullah Sharif, a political analyst in Afghanistan, said that this incident shows that there are strong differences between the Taliban.
May lead to civil war..
Experts say there is a risk of civil war if the differences between the Taliban escalate. Many Taliban leaders have private armies. Sirajuddin also has the strongest Haqqani network in his hands. On the other hand Mulla Yakub had the forces of Mulla Omar. Most of the weapons left behind by America are in their possession. The local militants in Kandahar are in the hands of Supreme Leader Akhundzada. Apart from this, extremist forces also listen to him.
The Taliban who have kicked out in the past..
At the time of gaining power in 2021, there was a dispute between Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, the powerful leader of the Haqqani network, and Mullah Baradar, the leader of the peace talks, over the formation of the cabinet and who should get the ‘credit’ for the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan. While Baradar thinks that the Americans left because of their diplomacy, the Haqqani followers argued that the Americans were forced to flee because of their war. In this order, an argument took place between the two leaders. At the same time, the members of both the sides started kicking. At that time, Baradar, who was concerned about the composition of the cabinet, went to Kandahar and met with the Supreme Leader Mullah Habaitullah Akhundzada. Khalil is the brother of Jalaluddin Haqqani, the founder of the Haqqani Group.
The Sirajuddin Haqqani faction of the Taliban and Mullah Omar’s son, Mullah Yaqoob, joined Pakistan. Both are supporters of Pakistan. Pakistan Army and ISI provided vital support to them. It is known that the Taliban are attacking Pakistan recently. At this time, Sirajuddin single-handedly targeted and criticized the Supreme Leader.
