Associate Professor of Reputed hospital jumps to death in Bengaluru

A 45-year-old associate professor of MS Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital ended his life by jumping from the terrace of the hospital building, on Thursday morning.

Though the reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, police questioning the family members said that he was under depression and complaining work related pressure.

Dr.Ambarish,was associate professor in the department of physiology and living with wife and two daughters in Banashankari.

Senior officer said that he had logged in for work at 9.30 am on thursday,as usual.He had reportedly spoken to his colleagues normally.

At around 11.45 am,he fell from the Ramaiah Memorial Hospital building’s terrace,which is on the 8th floor and the guards rushed to the help and taken him to casualties but in vain.

It is suspected that he fell from the terrace as other places are covered with grills for safety.No one has seen him going to the terrace,the police added.

The Sadashivanagar police has recorded his wife’s statement,who has reportedly told them that her husband had not shared about any problem with her.

As per his wife,Dr.Ambarish was stressed out due to the overload of work pressure after the on set of the pandemic.Though the exact cause is yet to be known,it is suspected work pressure might have drove him take the extreme step,an official said.

The Sadashivanagar police have registered a case of un natural death and are awaiting for the postmortem report and to question the family members to ascertain the reason behind the extreme step.
