Seven cows were allegedly stolen from a cattle shed near Parappana Agrahara on the night of August 19, according to a complaint filed at Parappana Agrahara Police Station on August 20.
The complainant, N.Jitendra Yadav,is engaged in rearing cows and selling milk.
He had constructed a shed at Site No.20 near his house, where he usually kept his cattle.
According to the complaint,heavy rain on the night of August 19 caused water to enter the shed.
Around 8 pm,Yadav moved the cows outside the shed and tied them in an open area before going to sleep inside the shed.
At around 5.30 am on August 20,when he went to milk the cows,he found that seven cows were missing.
Suspecting that unidentified persons had stolen the cattle,he searched the surrounding areas but could not locate them.
Yadav subsequently approached Parappana Agrahara Police Station and requested the police to trace the stolen cows and identify and take legal action.
