The Viveknagar police,along with the officials of food and civil supplies,East Zone,have registered a case against a person for allegedly storing and refilling LPG cylinders without the required licence.
Acting on credible information,the Viveknagar Police Inspector directed a team comprising a Police Sub-Inspector and staff to conduct a raid on the afternoon of September 17.
The team,along with the Food Inspector,East Zone, raided the premises where illegal gas refilling was allegedly being carried out.
During the raid,the police found 55 gas cylinders belonging to various companies,including both filled and empty cylinders.The cylinders were valued at approximately Rs.1.2 lakh.
A nozzle allegedly used for refilling the cylinders was also seized.
A case has been registered at Viveknagar Police Station under relevant provisions,and further investigation is underway.
