Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has taken serious note of a video circulated on social media platforms,including Kannada Dunia,regarding the alleged misconduct of Mr.Krishnamurthy (Badge No. 11503),Conductor of Depot–43,who was on duty in Vehicle No. KA-57 F-1104 operating on Route No. 258SD/1 during the night halt shift on 02.08.2026.
The video purportedly depicts the conductor allegedly pushing a passenger out of the bus and physically assaulting him.
As the video has received widespread circulation on social media and has raised public concern,BMTC has initiated immediate action.
Without prejudice to the outcome of the inquiry, and as a preliminary administrative measure to facilitate a fair and impartial investigation,the concerned conductor has been placed under suspension pending departmental inquiry.
A comprehensive departmental inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the facts of the incident.
The investigation will include examination of the statements of the concerned conductor, the passenger involved,eyewitnesses,CCTV footage from the bus (where available),and all other relevant evidence before arriving at any conclusion.
BMTC maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct, discourteous behaviour, or any act that compromises the dignity,safety,or rights of passengers.
Should the allegations be substantiated during the inquiry,appropriate disciplinary action will be initiated against the concerned employee in accordance with the applicable service rules and regulations.
The Corporation acknowledges the concerns expressed by the public and assures citizens that every such incident is treated with the utmost seriousness.
