The International Council for Journalists (ICJ), in collaboration with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), has launched a global initiative to bring journalists under one umbrella, aiming to strengthen media unity, professional collaboration, and the protection of journalists worldwide.

The Council also expressed concern over the recent attacks on journalists during protests and demanded strict action against those responsible.
It urged authorities to ensure the safety and protection of media personnel while they discharge their professional duties.
