The Kettlebell Sport India Association (KSIA) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its administrative framework with the announcement of its new executive committee for the 2026–2030 term. The decision was finalized during a Special Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections held at the Ethiopian Culture Centre in New Delhi.
The newly elected leadership is expected to play a crucial role in expanding the sport’s footprint in India while reinforcing its global standing.
Gagandeep Handa has been elected as President, with Neeraj Deswal taking charge as General Secretary and Divya Kumari appointed as Treasurer. The governing body also includes multiple Vice Presidents, Joint Secretaries, and Executive Members, forming a broad-based structure aimed at driving growth across regions.
In addition to elected positions, KSIA has appointed Harpal Singh Flora as Chairman and Anshu Tarawath as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), bringing strategic leadership and operational depth to the organization.
Growing Global Relevance of Kettlebell Sport
Kettlebell sport is gaining recognition worldwide as a demanding discipline that blends strength, endurance, and technique. KSIA is affiliated with the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting (IUKL), ensuring India’s representation on the global stage.
The sport is practiced in over 80 countries and strictly follows World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations, reinforcing its commitment to fair competition.
India to Host 2026 World Championship
After successfully hosting the Kettlebell World Championship in New Delhi in 2022, India is set to welcome the global event once again in 2026. This marks a strong statement of India’s growing influence in emerging sports disciplines.
With a fresh leadership team in place, KSIA now faces the dual challenge of delivering a successful international event while also building grassroots participation across the country. Full KSIA Executive Committee 2026–2030
