A 61-year-old man was killed after a BMTC bus knock down his two-wheeler on Madhure Road within the limits of the Chikkabanavara Traffic Police Station on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Nagaraju,a resident of Basaveshwaranagar,who was running a Nandini Milk Parlour.
According to police,the incident occurred around 10:45 am when Nagaraju was riding towards his daughter’s house in Kannamangala.Near Madhure Road in Hessarghatta,a BMTC bus travelling from Nelamangala towards Yelahanka allegedly hit his bike.
Nagaraju sustained severe injuries in the collision and was rushed to a nearby hospital,where doctors declared him brought dead.
The Chikkabanavara Traffic Police have registered a case and issued a notice to the bus driver.Further investigation is underway, police said.
