The Bandepalya police have arrested eight accused in connection with the brutal murder registered following a detailed investigation that revealed a premeditated conspiracy behind the crime.
Senior officer said the incident occurred on January 12, 2026,at around 5 pm,when the victim,Shabbir,was attacked with deadly weapons near the Bharat Petroleum bunk limits of Bandepalya police station.
The accused allegedly waylaid the victim while he was travelling in an autorickshaw and assaulted him indiscriminately,resulting in his death on the spot.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the murder was the outcome of long-standing enmity.Police stated that the accused had been tracking the victim’s movements for several days and executed the attack after confirming his presence in the area.
The assailants fled the scene immediately after committing the crime.
Based on credible information and technical analysis, police teams traced and arrested all eight accused on January 20th near the Karnteevara Sangoli Rayanna Railway Station in the early hours of the morning.
Multiple special teams were formed under the supervision of senior officers to ensure the swift arrest of the suspects
The arrested accused have been identified as Noorulla, Nadeem,Salman Khan,Mohammed Ali,Syed Ismail, Mohammed Siddique,Syed Kaleem,and Imran,all residents of the Bandepalya and Mangammanapalya areas of Bengaluru.
Cases have been registered against them under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023,and under arms Act.
Senior police officials commended the investigation team for cracking the case within a short span and stated that further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact motive,recover weapons used in the crime, and identify any additional links or accomplices involved.
Police have appealed to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in organised and violent crimes.
Though DCP,Electronic city Division,M.Narayana claimed that it was rivalry which led to murder the family of the deceased maintained that the deceased starred at the accused few days ago which led to the murder.
There was no enmity or clash between the deceased and the accused earlier but the matter of ego.
