The investigation into the sensational mid-road murder of a woman has taken a dramatic turn,with Magadi Road police taking another petty rowdy into custody on a body warrant.
The incident had occurred on the evening of December 23 within the limits of the Magadi Road police station, where Balamurugan allegedly shot his wife,
Bhuvaneshwari,dead in public view.The accused later surrendered before the police.
During interrogation,police uncovered shocking details revealing that the murder was premeditated.
Investigators found that prior to the killing,Balamurugan had travelled to Salem in Tamilnadu,where he met a petty rowdy identified as Moulesh at a relative’s hotel.
Senior officer told reporters that the Balamurugan had allegedly offered a large sum of money to Moulesh to eliminate his wife.
The plan was to murder Bhuvaneshwari at a location without CCTV surveillance.It is further alleged that Balamurugan even handed over a pistol to Moulesh for the purpose.
Moulesh reportedly told the accused that the murder would take two to three months,citing the need to conduct reconnaissance of the location.
Subsequently, Moulesh visited Bengaluru and conducted reconnaissance around Bhuvaneshwari’s workplace and the routes she frequently used.
However,when Moulesh allegedly demanded additional money,Balamurugan became enraged and decided to carry out the murder himself.
Acting on his plan,he shot his wife dead and later surrendered to the police.Magadi Road police have now secured Moulesh from Salem on a body warrant and are questioning him further.
Police are also interrogating other individuals linked to Balamurugan to ascertain their role in the conspiracy.
