In a swift action the JJ Nagar police nabbed three minor boys for allegedly pelting stones at a religious procession on Sunday .
The accused are aged between 14 and 15 years.Police said further investigation is under way to ascertain the motive behind the incident.
The incident occurred shortly after 8 pm near VS Garden under the limits of the JJ Nagar police station.
A girl who was part of the Om Shakti devotees participating in the procession sustained head injuries in the stone-pelting.She was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Tension prevailed for some time after devotees gathered outside the JJ Nagar police station demanding strict legal action against those involved.Senior police officers intervened and pacified the crowd,following which security was heightened in the area.
The JJ Nagar police later registered an FIR and conducted a spot inspection at the location where the stone-pelting took place before zeroing in on the accused said DCP West Division,Yatish N.
