FIR Filed Against 16 Government Employees for Inserting Fake Land Records

A major case of land record tampering has come to light in Anekal taluk,where staff of the Record Room allegedly colluded with land grabbers to insert fake documents to facilitate the illegal acquisition of government land.

Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner G.Jagadeesh said that FIRs have been registered against 16 government employees in connection with the scam.

Deputy Tahsildar: Chandrashekar B.K.

Shirastedars:Maruthi Prasad,Dinakaran G,Lokesh S.

First Division Assistants:Mahesh,Mangala,Narayan

Second Division Assistants.K.Raghavendra,Manjunath M.V.

D-Group Staff:Kalpana P,Manjunath,Shobha N,Praveen, Muniraju,Manjula,and Meenakshi

According to the report submitted by the Anekal Tahsildar,fake entries were allegedly added to original government land documents including grant files, application registers,RTCs,RTC distribution registers, grant proceedings,Inam DC order files,land reform (LRF) files, ILRR registers,Khatawari records,Soodu Pahanis, handwritten Pahanis and other related documents.

These discrepancies were detected during the scanning of records under the Land Security Project.

Following verification,authorities found prima facie evidence of forged entries.

As many as 16 government staff who worked in the record room over the past five years have now been named in FIRs to initiate legal action.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that private individuals allegedly involved in creating forged documents,and organised groups suspected of systematically generating such fake records,will also be investigated.

The Anekal Tahsildar has been instructed to file criminal cases against all those involved.

Additionally,the DC has directed all Special Tahsildars in the district to obtain prior approval before issuing any land-related orders or effecting khata changes concerning government land.

The Anekal Tahsildar has also been asked to review past khata transfers/mutations related to government land in the taluk and submit a detailed report.
