Karnataka Lokayukta Conducts Raids On 10 Officials, Seizes Cash, Gold and Property Deeds worth Rs.33.5 Crores

The Karnataka Lokayukta sleuths on Tuesday carried out a series of search and raid operations across the state,seizing ₹35.3 crore worth of movable and immovable assets allegedly disproportionate to the known sources of income of 10 government officials.

According to an official release,raids were conducted in Bengaluru City,Mysuru,Davanagere,Mandya,Bidar,Haveri, Dharwad,Gadag,Kodagu and Shivamogga.

The teams searched the residences,offices and properties of the accused officials as well as those of their relatives,covering more than 47 locations.

The following officials have been booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act for possessing disproportionate assets:

Krishnamurthy P,Office Superintendent,Electronic City RTO,BTM Layout,Bengaluru–₹4.2 crore.

Ramaswamy C,Revenue Inspector,Hootagalli Municipality,Mysuru–₹2.77 crore.

Prabhu J,Assistant Director,APMC,Davanagere–₹2.49 crore.

Puttaswamy C,Chief Administrative Officer,Municipality Office,Mandya–₹4.3 crore.

Prem Singh,Chief Engineer,KBJNL,Canal-1.

Bheemarayanagudi,Shahapur,Yadgir–₹4.07 crore.

Shekappa Sannappa Mattikatti,Executive Engineer, DUDC,Haveri–₹5.36 crore.

Subhashchandra Chandravva Natikar,Associate Professor,Sociology Department,Karnataka University, Dharwad–₹3.11 crore.

Sathish Ramanna Kattimani,Senior Veterinary Examiner, Primary Veterinary Clinic,Huligol,Gadag–₹2.09 crore.

D.M.Girish,AEE,PWD,Madikeri Sub-Division,Kodagu– ₹4.26 crore.

Lakshmipathi C.N.FDA,SIMS Medical College, Shivamogga–₹2.49 crore

Lokayukta officials said further investigation is underway.
