Close to the heel of rescue and reuniting an elderly woman by Begur police,the Adugodi counterparts rescued and reunited a 71-year-old retired central government employee who lost her way from Shivajinagar and wondering in SLR Nagar in Adugodi on Sunday .
The Victim Kasturi,living alone in HKP road after retired as attender at agriculture department 12 years ago, while her son and daughter married and living separately in Halasuru.
Kasturi used to visit her daughter’s house once in a while and on Saturday boarded a wrong bus and reached Audugodi .
After getting down,she lost her way and stayed on footpath near a mosque in Adugodi .
Noticing the woman in distress a member of general public alerted the control room and reported about the incident .
The “Namma-112” staff immediately relayed the information to Hoysala 210 Adugodi Police Station, informing the officers and staff on duty.Acting swiftly, the officers and staff of Hoysala-210 reached the spot and brought Kasturi to the station.
Upon inquiry,Kasturi revealed her Identity and showed the copy of the Aadhar card,which had address but the phone number mentioned was not working .
Inspector C Ravi Kumar and Assistant Sub Inspector, Mahesh Lokare called the Shivajinagar police to seek help and came to know that a missing complaint has been filed .
Vinod Kumar,son of Kasturi,a city based businessman, who used to visit her frequently realized on Sunday that his mother is missing and filed a complaint with the police.
The police contacted Vinod Kumar who rushed to the station and reunited with Kasturi.Vinod Kumar told the police that Kasturi wanted to leave despite request from both her children to stay with them.
The police have counselled Vinod Kumar to ensure the safety of Kasturi.It may be recalled that the Begur police team had rescued and reunited an elderly woman from Vijayapura,few days ago .
