The Bagalagunte police arrested a 40-year-old contract killer before he could execute the attack on a textile merchant on Thursday.
The accused Vinod Kumar Jaat,40,was track down through call record details after he called the victim , Nemaram,warning that he will be killed .
Based on the complaint,the police track down Vinod Kumar Jaat from his native Pali district of Rajasthan and later arrested Venaram,who had given Rs.5 lakh Supari to eleiminte Nemaram.
A detailed probe revealed that Nemaram and Venaram are businessmen having textile and readymade apparel shops next to each other on Bagalagunte main road .
While Nemaram was doing good business Venaram suffered losses.More over Nemaram adding to the woes, hired Venaram’s staff to his shop offering more salary.
Enraged Venaram,decided to eliminate Nemaram and hired a Vinod Kumar,a habitual offender for the job offering him contract.
The accused came to Bengaluru and attempted once to attack Nemaram,but he escaped in nick of time and did not realise that he is under the scanner.
Vinod Kumar was waiting for the opportunity to attack Nemaram and on September 17 got drunk and called Nemaram informing him that he is going to be killed in few days.
The accused Nemaram has five criminal cases pending against him in different police station in Halasurgate,Beguru ,Sitapura station in Maharastra and a house break theft in Gubbi police station limits.
The accused is presently out on bail and was arrested before he could execute a murder.
City police commissioner,Seemant Kumar Singh, appreciated the police for cracking a supari killing before the execution of the plan.
