The Yelahanka New Town Police have arrested a construction labourer for bludgeoning his wife to death over a domestic row at their rented house on August 3.
The accused Saidulu had escaped to his home town Rajahmundry,from where the police tracked him down and arrested on Tuesday.
Senior officer told reporters that accused Saidulu was married to deceased Ameema in 2019 despite being married.It was a love marriage and he had concealed about his first marriage .
The couple had moved into the city for construction work one and half months ago and rented out a house in Yelahanka new town.
The deceased came to know about Saidulu’s first marriage and started having fight.The couple used to fight over the issue frequently and in a fit of rage on August 3,Saidulu attacked her with a wooden log killing her on the spot and escaped.
The accused has been charged with a murder and taken into custody to ascertain if there are any other reason behind the murder.
