A 21-year-old fruit vendor was stabbed to death by his friend over a trivial row near government hospital on MG road in Chintamani on Tuesday.
The deceased Arabaaz and the accused Farhad used to have shops next to each other.The duo was friends and used to chide each other hurling abuses for fun.
On Tuesday,the duo argued over a trivial row after hurling abuses at each other.In the melee Farhad picked up a scissor and stabbed his neck and escaped .
Passers-by rushed to the help of Arbaaz but he collapsed due to deep cut and died on the spot due to excessive bleeding .
Based on the complaint,the Chintamani police rushed to the spot and track down Farhad,24,who was hiding at his house and arrested him.
He was produced before the court and taken into custody for further investigation.
