“Governance in the State Has Completely Collapsed Under Congress”
Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is making efforts only to retain his position rather than working for the development of the people or resolving their problems due to which the administration in Karnataka has completely collapsed.
Speaking to the media in Gadag here on Friday,he said that though Siddaramaiah is a senior politician,he has been repeating the same statement for the past two and a half years—that he will complete the full five-year term.
This repetitive assertion has raised doubts among the public.“He doesn’t need to say it every day.Recently in Delhi,he said there was no agreement to relinquish the Chief Minister’s post.
Whether there was such an agreement or not,we don’t know. But the Congress high command must make this clear.Either Rahul Gandhi or Mallikarjun Kharge must clarify it.It’s not enough if Surjewala says something — that won’t solve the issue”.
The MP reiterated that governance in Karnataka has collapsed under Siddaramaiah.“We don’t care who continues as CM.But it’s clear Siddaramaiah is trying only to hold on to power.
He’s not making any sincere efforts for the development of the state or to solve people’s problems. The officials have become completely inactive.
The people of Karnataka are cursing this government for not being able to provide a stable administration. They are running the government arrogantly just because they won 136 seats. They have no concern for the public. They don’t even have time for the people.
The former CM criticized the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, and said that problems are surfacing everywhere.Issues in health and education are rising.Though they won 136 seats, their condition is like 36.
