Cow vigilante group belonging to Sri Rama Sene arrested for robbing ice cream truck driver for Rs.89.800

The Cow vigilante group belonging to Sri Rama Sene who were arrested for assaulting drivers of the beef transporting vehicles and setting one of the vehicle in the early hours of Sunday, were also booked for assaulting ice cream truck driver and robbing Rs.89,800 from him.

Based on the complaint filed by Kishan Lal Jat,19,from Kishan Lal Jat Krishna Icecream Factory from Kurnool Andhra Pradesh,the police charged the accused identified as Manjunath Naik,Devaraju,Punith,Pavan under dacoity,rioting,wrongful restrain and unlawful assembly against them on Monday.

The victim,Kishnalal,driving from Guntakal to Goribidanur to supply ice cream packs to the shops .

While he was heading to Gouribidanur a strong group of 7 to 8 men armed with clubs stopped the vehicle at around 1.30 am on Sunday,dragged the driver out and assaulted him damaged the vehicle before robbing the cash from his pocket which he had collected after selling ice cream to his customer shops.

The accused later checked the vehicle and let him go after confirming that it was ice cream packs.Scared Kishanlal called his owner in Kurnool and narrated the ordeal.Based on his advise he went to Bengaluru and his relative Mohan’s house to take rest.

While watching the news on TV,he noticed the same people who robbed him were involved in assaulting people transporting beef and setting fire to one of the vehicle .

Kishanlal along with his relative went to Doddaballapura town police and complained. The police showed him the photographs of the accused arrested for confirmation before Kishanlal was directed to approach Doddaballapura rural police station to file complaint.
