Bengaluru Police Issue Guidelines To The Public; Celebrate Festivals, But Don’t Cause Nuisance

Bangalore: Bengaluru police commissioner N S Megharikh said we have issued guidelines and the same should be followed by Bengaluru public . They can celebrate the Gowri-Ganesha And Bakrid festival but without any trivial issues and should not cause any nuisance and nobody should obstruct traffic and create nuisance and ruckus on the streets.

Permission necessary for public celebration of Ganesha Festival .

The public should face no issues.

The organiser should avail permission from Bbmp and they should inform police too for how many days they are celebrating and they should display the organiser number too .

They should provide details like how many days they will keep ganesha, how many members will be participated in the function .

They should not disturb others by causing nuisance and those who are violating this norms will be punished as per law.

If possible, restrict the celebration to 11 days.

Drag racing and wheelie to be avoided during bakrid.

Megharikh said we have made a elaborate security arrangements for Gowri- Ganesha Festival and Bakrid too as we have deputed 40 -CAR Platoons, 24-KSRP with civil police of all police stations with even traffic police and home guards and other staff in plain clothes will be deployed across city to avoid anti social elements .

We have given them permission to use mikes from 6 AM to 10 PM. We have also advise people not to halt traffic by obstructing the roads and we have also advised people not to use unauthorised Electricity.
